Rest In Peace Brother Tyrone, Your Music Lives On
This Arizona rock veteran of the Hopi-Hualapai tribes has been playing music for
over 30 years. At a young age his mother encouraged him to learn music, art and how to play guitar.
Over the years, he has performed on the local band scene in Phoenix, AZ with the Heritage of Freedom Band and the Red Express Band. Red Express was recognized
by the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community for their contributions in music.
Tyrone has been able to create his unique style of music with the talent of a variety
of players from the local music scene. His music encompasses the Native American
heritage and mixes it with a rock sound.
Tyrone’s debut album, “Living on the Ledge” has done very well. Tyrone has received airplay on numerous Native stations across the country. Songs such as Rez Girl, Pretty Little Angel, REz Rocket, Koncrete City and Ancient Drums are just a few of the songs he has released on his own label, REZ ROCKET RECORDS.
In his other endeavors, Tyrone is an accomplished Kachina Doll Carver. He has shown his work at the Pueblo Grande Museum, Denver Indian Market, Heard Museum, the prestigious Indian Market in Santa Fe, NM and the Smithsonian.
With his diverse talent, unique sound and newly released album, Tyrone Duwyenie is ready to take his music to a higher level.
