Navajo Language Preservation Project

Manolito Wheeler, the director of the Navajo Nation Museum, is the brain-child of the Navajo Language Preservation Project, and the driving-force behind it.
The Navajo Language Preservation Project is one of the most important endeavors in the United States, as means of maintaining not only the relationship between the decedents of the Navajo tribe with their glorious history and tradition, but that which connects us all, within the diverse melting-pot that is America.
The Navajo language has been in danger of extinction, as the younger generations have been drifting further and further away from their heritage, and it is of the utmost importance to bring back the wonderful, colorful culture from the brink of extinction and into living practice.
